Belated HBD to Prince Carl Philip of Sweden
I'm a little late with this one. A friend reminded me the Prince Carl Philip of Sweden celebrated his 34th birthday last week. A bachelor prince, he was recently included on Forbes magazine's list of "The 20 Hottest Young Royals". No argument from your blogger. None at all.
Prince Carl Philip (b. 1979), studied graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design. Currently the prince is taking part in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia in a Porsche 911 GT3. He is also a world class skier and swimmer, as well as a former lieutenant in the Swedish Navy. Sigh.
With his great interest in design and drawing, for his mother Queen Silvia's 60th birthday (2003), the Prince designed the cover for a CD of the music of Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker. Aww...
A few more gratuitous drool-worthy photos:
With his younger sister, Princess Madeleine (below), at the 2010 wedding of his older sister, Crown Princess Victoria, who married her personal trainer. Princess Madeleine will herself be married next month. Beauty seems to run in the family.
Shown below with pieces of cutlery he designed and produced after professional studies at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI:
