Dorm dudes:
Shorts stories:
Once known as the Beirut Beefcake, 35-year-old James, who was the BBC’s Middle East correspondent until five years ago, now works for ABC news. He is based at the London bureau, where he serves as a foreign correspondent.
“James has a deep understanding of the Middle East conflicts and the complex politics and issues in the region,” an ABC spokesman says. “He has interviewed families torn apart by war, former ISIS members and jihadists tied to the UK and Europe.”
Longman is fluent in Arabic, French and English. He was raised in London and Cairo and wrote a Master’s Degree thesis on Syrian politics.
As if that's what matters. This is how he appears on assignment:
And the fact that he's gay. Did I forget to mention that he runs marathons? Plus he has reason to be happy these days. He married Alex Brannan three weeks ago after a two-year engagement. Longman returned to London from his assignment in Ukraine for the July 24 nuptials. In photo below, James is in the dark suit. It was a double double-breasted wedding.
Alex (born in the USA!) works as a marketing manager (UK and Ireland) following years of experience in finance. He also hosts, writes, edits and distributes his own podcast: "The One That Got A Gay", focusing on the lives of LGBTQ+ people who came out later in life.
May their union be blessed, enduring and fruitful.
