Hollywood Fundraiser for Pete Buttigieg
Greg Berlanti (left) and Robbie Rogers (right) will be co-hosts of a high profile Hollywood fundraiser for Pete Buttigieg on June 19 in Los Angeles. Buttigieg (b. 1982, Democrat) is the first openly gay candidate seeking nomination in a U. S. presidential election.
Berlanti (b. 1972) is a gay producer, film director, and writer best known for his work on Dawson’s Creek, Brother and Sisters, Everwood, Riverdale and the hit film Love, Simon. He is also the husband of ex-soccer player Robbie Rogers (b. 1987). Rogers, now working as a television producer, retired from the LA Lakers in 2017, due to a series of debilitating injuries. He was the first openly gay man to compete in a top North American sports league.
