Father's Day
June 18, 2017
Trivia: Five decades after Mother’s Day had been established as a national holiday in the U.S. (1914), President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers in 1966, designating the third Sunday in June as Father's Day. Six years later, the day was made a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.
