Michael Sam Signed to NFL Contract

Last month footballer Michael Sam’s name was everywhere, due to his being the first openly gay man drafted by an NFL team. And who can forget the flap over the video of his celebratory kiss with his boyfriend?

Well, it gets better. Sam has been signed to a four-year $2.65 million contract with the St. Louis Rams. He tweeted a week ago, on Thursday, June 12:

‘Grateful, humbled, and motivated after officially signing with all my Rams rookie brothers. Let’s do this!! #RamUp’

Sam has already signed an endorsement deal with VISA, and his visibility as the NFL's first openly gay player makes him quite marketable.
