Diver Ian Matos Reveals His Homosexuality
Celebrated diver Ian Matos, born in 1989 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, declared his homosexuality on January 13. Matos had moved to Brazil so that he could work on his diving career. Some of his friends urged him not to make his announcement until after the 2016 Summer Olympics, which will be held in Rio de Janiero. However, Matos, age 24, decided to come out sooner after seeing British diver Tom Daley’s video, in which Daley revealed that he is in a relationship with a man.
"From a young age, I knew I was gay, but it was here that I got to live my sexuality," Matos said in an interview. He further stated that the thought of hiding boyfriends, not going to gay parties and not being himself would be too stressful. He added that he hopes coming out will help him become a better diver and not cost him any potential sponsorships. The athlete won a bronze medal in 2012 in America and became Brazil’s 3-meter board champion in 2013.
Te has fijado que he preferido no decir nada sobre los efectos del gift de frotamientos.
