Michael Fassbender: The horses love him!
Re. Michael Fassbender*, whose latest film Jane Eyre** premiered yesterday.

His co-star, Mia Wasikowska says this about working on filming Jane Eyre with the Irish/German actor:
“Michael had a very huge effect on any horse he got on. There was a horse on the third day of filming when we were shooting the scene where Jane and Rochester meet, and every time Michael hopped on the horse it got a huge erection. He’d get off, and they’d run the poor thing around the block to try to make it go away; he’d hop on it again and it would happen all over again, and they’d have to get him off and run it around. It happened in rehearsals and again on the day of shooting. So it was great!”

*You’ll remember him from the films 300 and Inglourious Basterds.

**In case you need a refresher, Jane Eyre is the classic Charlotte Brontë story about a mousy governess who softens the heart of her employer and discovers that he’s hiding a terrible secret. Filmmakers just can't keep their hands off this one: 18 feature films and 9 TV movies so far. Extra credit for the pen name under which Brontë published it.
