First openly gay presidential campaign manager

Robby Mook is the first openly gay manager of a major presidential campaign. The 35-year-old political strategist was selected by Hillary Clinton to take on the formidable task of repackaging a picked-over public figure and convincing a weary electorate that she should be the leader of our country for the next four years. If she gains the Democratic nomination and wins the election, she will become the first female president in our nation’s history.

According to motherjones.com, Mook is known for inspiring loyalty and handling outsize egos, and in his new position he will need healthy doses of both abilities. Mook managed the campaign of Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, a close friend of Bill and Hillary, who was elected in 2013. Virginia is a state that is traditionally hostile to Democrats. He also managed the successful Baltimore mayoral and Maryland gubernatorial campaigns of Martin O’Malley.

But I digress. Back to business, gentlemen.
