December 21

Towel boys:

Weekend with the frat boys:

The longest night of the year:

Winter Solstice

Today is the first day of winter.
And the shortest day of the year.

In Fairbanks, Alaska,
the sun is up fewer than 4 hours today,
and it never reaches higher than the horizon.

The good news is that
each subsequent day from now until late June
has more daylight than the day before.
