James Longman redux:

Several readers asked about the sexual orientation of ABC foreign correspondent James Longman (above) featured in my post of June 27. Well, I can offer a clue (just click on this YouTube link):

Cycle madness:

This month marks the 200th anniversary of the invention of the bicycle in Mannheim, Germany, in 1817. We commemorate that event with photographic evidence of its world-wide popularity.

...and with that burst of athleticism, let's move on to some tantalizing muscular moments:

James Longman

Britain’s loss, our gain.

Lucky us. Long known as the Beirut Beefcake, 30-year-old James, who was the BBC’s Middle East correspondent for the past five years, was hired earlier this month by ABC in the U.S. He will be based at the London bureau, where he will serve as a foreign correspondent.

“James has a deep understanding of the Middle East conflict and the complex politics and issues in the region,” an ABC spokesman said in a memo to staff. “He has interviewed families torn apart by war, former ISIS members and jihadists tied to the UK and Europe.”

Longman, who has already begun his new gig, is fluent in Arabic, French and English. He was raised in London and Cairo and wrote a Master’s Degree thesis on Syrian politics.

As if that's what matters.

This is what matters:
